Eye-opener

It was like Mel put a mirror in front of me and said the one thing that I didn't want to hear, but needed to.

Not your typically story telling book

This book was more like a Oprah or doctor Phil show with each person as guests. Don't get me wrong it is worth the listen, I just was surprised by the format. There is a lot to take in. Later i will be going through the workbook.

Different from what I was used to and expected

It seemed like most of it was off-the-cuff and unscripted, but if that is the case, there are advantages to that. The discussions were candid and natural and I could see parallels between my life and those of the interviewees'. As such, the advice Mel gave to them was applicable to my situation in many ways.

Loved this audiobook!! Kudos Mel!!

Take Control of Your Life is an absolutely amazing audiobook about how to face your own fear of change! Mel provides segments of her coaching sessions with real people experiencing real life problems! She clearly defines how to make changes by using the brick by brick method and how to stop all those “never ending” negative thoughts. I’m going to listen to this audiobook AGAIN & AGAIN!!! Next time I’m going to take copious notes! Such helpful & life changing information!

Amazing

I love this book! This was one of the most effective books I have ever heard. I really enjoyed each persons experience and how Mel walks them through their life. Everyone can learn from this book. It’s hands down a life changer.

Fantastic, insightful, and informative!

Has made a huge impact on my thinking and has already made my fear subside. I'm already making small changes. So much hit home with my own experiences and she makes change do-able with easy steps to take. Lots of good information and advice.
