About this listen

In this Isekai from the author of How to Survive at the End of the World, a man is sent to save a dead planet . . . a couple thousand years too late.

Matt's in the prime of his life. So when his doctor tells him he only has months to live, he figures it's just really bad luck. But it's about to get a whole lot worse.

When Matt's Earthly form finally expires, a truck-avatar system gives him the opportunity to become a hero on the paradise world of Gaia, a supposedly verdant, rich land teeming with plants and potential. What he finds instead is a place completely bereft of life. A literal dead planet. Thanks a lot, truck.

Now, Matt's going to have to figure out not only how to survive in a completely barren realm but also how to not go completely mad with a full load of stats, skills, and levels that might mean absolutely nothing. Unless there's actually something out there after all....

The first volume of the hit LitRPG fantasy series—with almost two million views on Royal Road—now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!

fun listen

at first when I saw this I thought it'd be like a Slow Burn isikai there's another one that I've read recently listen to I can't remember the name Farm something, but that one is a Slow Burn I thought this was going to be one too and it is a Slow Burn he does quite a lot for being on a dead world I think he could have had time lapses though personally speaking where he did a couple months of interesting things then put in a like 6 months later blah blah blah this happened small little recap and then going to something else more interesting but that's just me but that was what I was expecting when I went into this what I got was a not op-mc but a strong enough one after he got a friend, to act and react like a normal person I think would react and to live the life the best you can in the situation that he could can't wait for the next book coming up in November all listen the moment it comes out

Enjoyable but not awesome

Enjoyable story, interesting concept. Kind of dark, not depressing but not as optimistic as I would like. Not sure I will get the next in the series.

Good twist on the genre

Usually when you're Get isakide You end up on a planet with some life in it but there Is 0 life on this planet that He is stranded on. Which just leads to an interesting adventure.

its a nrat idea buy

wow everyone except the mc is a POS, the sytem gives the mc a power to save a dead world and then punishes him non stop for using it.

the mcs companion is just annoying and refuses to do her job for most of the story, just insulting him and telling him to die.

the story had promise but my god does it get dragged down by the other people in it.

did not like it

the only reason I did not return it was I wanted to be able to leave a review explaining how much I dislike his style of writing.

my main complaint is how the author wants to make sure we understand that the main character is incompetent and ineffective and mostly the main character survives by Pure Luck and Deus Ex.
