About this listen

With Unity formed, Gunnar feels like he's created a family like he's never had before. All that's left is to grow in strength, continue building in Edgewood, and maybe earn a little affection from Princess Adeelee. Nothing can tear him away from his friends and newly founded guild.

Or can it?

Gunnar still has a lot to learn about his massive, new world. There are eyes and ears everywhere. Deception can come when you least expect it, and in Eden's Gate, sometimes you can lose control of your own fate.

And Rachel? Maybe she's still out there...somewhere.

LitRPG means Literary Role Playing Game. Simply put, it’s the book version of watching someone play a video game, usually one that’s set up like an MMO (massively multiplayer online) RPG. It’s a blend of sci-fi and fantasy, depending on how it comes to be that our main character ends up living inside a virtual reality. the point of LitRPG is not how we get there, but that we get to be in this virtual reality period, living life as a badass video-game character. Beat the grind and submerse yourself in these addictive LitRPGs.

Exactly What I Love

there's just so much to this book that completes the last two. I can't believe that I couldn't stop listening and ended up going through almost the entire thing

Great Series

Book really continues on the story, and mixes the action type things your are used to with the leveling too. He does a great job and capturing your attention the entire story

Not Bad!

I've read some of the other reviews and I can agree and disagree. The main character does make some stupid decisions but it's not that harmful to the story. The world Gunner lives in and his companions make up for his idiot moments. I love the new characters good and bad. And the story moves along nicely despite our hero being weird.

The narrator is great as always. No complain.

I do look forward to the next book. I just hope Gunner starts thinking before he acts more.

Learn some lessons!

It is very frustrating as a reader and a gamer to listen to this character keep making the same stupid mistakes over and over and over and over and over again. See how annoying that was and how unnecessary? The storyline would be so much better if the writer would allow his characters to LEARN from their experiences and mistakes. Also, if the writer is not a gamer, then he needs to bring a gamer on board his creative writing team to help him understand how a true hardcore gamer thinks and acts. Gunner Long is NOT the hardcore gamer the writer is trying to portray. Also, there are four books and you have not even allowed a MONTH to pass. What is your end game on this? You need to allow some passage of time in this book series. Can't be on book six and still only be three months in the series (hypothetically). I like and enjoy the world you've created. Very SAO, but man Edward Brody, you need to let some time pass and and lessons need to be learned.

Mc makes a lot of bad decisions

The main character acts like a complete dumb ass at times it's super frustrating. Overall I really like these books but the Mcs inability to formulate a plan and use his abilities properly was a bit irritating in this one. That and the writers insistence on using the word cooed for male characters. It always seems like a word that most writers use for female characters so it's kinda weird. Also no one would be that inconsistent with their perception of the "npcs" sure maybe at first but by now you'd have to realize they're either people and you'd treat them like it or they're not and you wouldn't. That and maybe try jab, thrust, or plunge instead of dip. Who dips a sword into someone? All that ranting aside I really do enjoy these books overall.

enjoy every minute

The only complaint I have is that the story is so good and the books are on the shorter side. Big fans, all the same.
