Publisher's summary

After accepting the fact that he will never know his old reality again, Gunnar looks forward toward building a new life inside Eden's Gate.

It's time to form a guild, gather resources, and earn the acceptance of the Edgewood inhabitants.

If only things were that easy....

The dark elves aren't thrilled about having humans in Edgewood, the mine isn't vacant, and you can't form a guild without at least a few guild mates.

Will Gunnar pursue Adeelee? Is Rachel still out there somewhere? And who is Jax exactly? Could he really be a Sparrow?

LitRPG means Literary Role Playing Game. Simply put, it’s the book version of watching someone play a video game, usually one that’s set up like an MMO (massively multiplayer online) RPG. It’s a blend of sci-fi and fantasy, depending on how it comes to be that our main character ends up living inside a virtual reality. the point of LitRPG is not how we get there, but that we get to be in this virtual reality period, living life as a badass video-game character. Beat the grind and submerse yourself in these addictive LitRPGs.

Things are only just beginning to get interesting

Okay, I’m still shocked by the plot twist at the end, so all I can say is that if you liked the first book and are looking to get this one than do it. Eden’s Gate is going to be epic in the next few books.

10/10. Best LitRPG.

This book is without a doubt the best LitRPG I have ever read. It may even be the best book in general I've read. I give this book the best possible review I can and I would suggest it to anyone. The author makes great creative choices and has a good writing style. the narrator also did a very good job.

I'll be listing yo it again soon, the books so far grab the imagination. the ride for start to finish is great and if you're not careful. you'll find yourself waiting for the next book in the series.

Great story and performance for the most part

The story is stacking up nicely, and over all the performance was good, but there were some occasional audio errors at the end of a chapter that ended mid sentence.

I don't understand all the negative comments

So far, I've have enjoyed this series. The MC isn't immediately over powered. The story line has a nice slow build without dragging. Level 13 in 2 weeks is very realistic for most MMORPGs. Heck, for some players that's slow progression. But in the world of LitRPG, to me it feels like an entirely reasonable progression. Each of the characters have some fun and interesting personality quirks. I find myself literally laughing out loud at their humor, especially the NPC princess's attempts at real world human slang - it comes across exactly as the author intended, awkward and humorous at the same time. What a fun little subplot line. And the narrator, Pavi is always enjoyable to listen to.

My one and only (minor) complaint regards the character Ozzy. He is supposed to be a Texan. Unfortunately, Pavi missed the mark on his accent as Ozzy sounds like Orie Main from South Carolina (North and South by John Jakes). But that distinction would probably only be noticed by someone from the south.

Looking forward to book 3!

good narrator, main character is a little weak and makes some questionable choices that leaves you shaking your head. story is not bad just a little unclear on some points.
