Publisher's summary

Embrace the flame’s rage or leave the future in ruins.

The tutorial is over. The rules of Pyresouls have changed for the worse. Defeating the Burgon Beast should’ve been the end of it, but it was only the beginning.

Beating the next boss monster that invades Earth will only stave off the Collapse, not prevent it. The future devoid of all life but a single Pyre proves that. Jacob refuses to accept that future. He’s done playing their games. Even if he must walk through the fires of despair and glory to be rid of them.

Back in the past, the Gnawing Hunger roams free, monsters run unchecked between the shards, and abominations of unfathomable power lurk beneath the surface of Lormar. Otherworldly beings pull the strings behind Pyresouls, twisting the challenges Jacob faces at every turn to exploit his weaknesses and thwart his progress.

Trapped between two timelines, having lived a second life he can’t remember, can Jacob find the dark truth behind Pyresouls and uncover the secrets of Lormar’s demise, or will he leave the future a grave and Earth a long-rotten corpse?

Or somehow, something even worse?

With leveling and gear progression mechanics, Futures Grave is the second novel in the best-selling LitRPG series Pyresouls Apocalypse.

Hidden Gem

This book is great. Nice characters, plot twists and smart MC’S. I feel sad that it goes underaprattiated (pardon my spelling) and I hope that a 3rd book drops soon (haven’t finished but I think the story isn’t done).

MUCH better on mitigating stat reading

Compared to the first pyre souls book and his other beastborne saga, listening to this doesn't slap your ears with redundant stat reading.

I feel the story flows so much nicer when when you're not being told every single parameter when the dude levels up.

A great second book

This is just a continuation of the greatness that was book one. The character development and world building are still fantastic. This story continues to bring a unique aspect to the genre and is doing a great job keeping that freshness going. If you liked the first book this will absolutely be for you.

Kept you riveted all the way!

I truly enjoyed the book and the nonstop action not to mention the plot twists! My only complaint is being left in a lurch! I truly hope another book is coming!

Always the cliffhanger with this series

So I got this after waiting forever for it to come out on audible. The fact that the author ties in the beastborn series makes me unbelievably happy. Midarian is probably my favorite god of all time but I wish he could do more. Jacob definitely has that souls type attitude that most gamers get after beating their first game. He grinds away at everything and as a side note, I personally love using a strength, long sword build but I can’t parry to save my life. Then with the added bonus of magic. This is great. Can’t wait for the next one!

Great epilogue!

I cannot wait for the next book! The time distortion and cognitive shifts get a little confusing. Would recommend listing to the first book again as a refresher before starting this one if it has been a while.
