About this listen

The world is safe–from Henry.

Damien has managed to survive all the challenges thrown at him, and he’s even starting to enjoy his time at Blackmist. With Henry and Sylph by his side, he just might actually make it through Blackmist without getting killed.

Herald has other plans. Forces that have lurked at the edge of the Void for countless Cycles have started to move, and their power is growing with every passing day. Damien needs to gain mastery over his magic, but Herald isn’t content to let him sit around for much longer.

As more of the truth behind the Void and its purpose on the Mortal Plane is unveiled, Damien is forced to face the concerning truth that the Cycle might really need to be reset.

He won’t let it go without a fight, though. With Henry and Sylph’s help, he plans to bring the battle straight to the greatest threat the Mortal Plane has seen–but that might be just what its waiting for.

Greenblood is a slice-of-life mixed with LitRPG in a magic school setting. A slow build power fantasy from Actus, the best-selling author of Morcster Chef. It's perfect for fans of Cradle, Iron Prince, and Mage Errant.

Actus is on a roll 2 amazing series from 1 author

I loved this sequel in what has become one of my favorite new series. It builds really well upon the first book and has just about everything you can want. Great plot, with awesome characters, world building is good enough and not really what this series focuses on. I was a bit hesitant at first about this series because it seemed like it was a Y.A book. But I can't really say that it's written as a Y.A at all, which to me is a huge upside. It's a very mature book that is pretty grim and dark in a really good way. I can't stress this enough Actus is one of my new top 5 authors. If you enjoy this series check out his other amazing series (Monster Chef) totally worth it as well.

Magic College companion greatness

I really enjoyed the story. that fact that Damien's companion is basically like having Rick from Rick and Morty as your companion is awesome. can't wait for the next book to release.

Not bad

Not a bad follow up from the last one. Interesting to see how much freedom the MC has in the next book.

Please Read This Series!

I spend so much time looking for good books with characters that I can actually relate to. This in one of those lucky finds that I would place towards the very top of my list.

Finishing up the first year of mage college

I was happy to see the second book in this series, come out so quickly – my favorite part is probably the premise - it’s an easy read that I finished in less than a week - looking forward to more installments in this and the author’s other series

World building good. story slow.

while I like the book overall and would casually recommend it, my honest opinion is that the story really struggled to keep me hooked. I am an avid and voracious reader. I tend to ceaselessly consume stories as fast as I can. I really struggled to keep reading this book, it was not a bad book. I just tended to get bored in between interesting moments. a few days might go by and I would start to think about that really interesting thing that happened earlier in the book and then I would want to listen to more. there was lots of interesting moments, and the world was very interesting. but the frequent boring moments really killed the flow. I still give it a four out of five because it had very entertaining moments
