Publisher's summary

Toddlers are messy. Toddlers are moody. Toddlers have opinions and demands and emotions that flip from happy to hysterical in an instant. Essentially...toddlers are cats. And parenting them? Well, parenting toddlers is nonstop cat herding. Herding Cats is an up-close, real-life look at the world of a toddler parent. A world of tantrums and potty training. A world of never-ending snot. A world of hilariously inappropriate comments, limitless growth, and perfectly timed "I love you"s. In this memoir bursting with laughter, commiseration, and encouragement, Herding Cats empowers its listeners to laugh off the toddler nonsense and find beauty in the midst of wrangling the most feral of felines.

Hilarious book, awesome perspective- glad I listened

This is a real, down to earth book. The author is hilarious and it is a fun read! I love her examples of life with little kiddos and she is so right when she relates them to hearding cats. I must say though that my favorite chapter was towards the end when she evaluated her own perspective- she taught me tons in that one chapter alone. I’m so glad I listened to this book. I want to extend a sincere “thank you” to the author for writing her perspective in this book.

Totally relatable!!!!

Awesome book Whitney!!! This is beyond relatable being the mother of twin toddlers myself!!! I have no idea where you find the time to write, but you did a great job!! This book had me laughing out loud, crying, remembering similar experiences and being inspired!!! I also love how you ended it with the intro of the “Cats” themselves!! :)
And, I enjoyed your caffeine and dairy voice too! How could you ever give that up?!? Excellent Book!

Chuckles Galore

You certainly don't have to be at this stage of motherhood to enjoy this sweet audiobook. While I am past the terror of toddlerhood with my own son, the author's stories opened the floodgate to memories of my now late elementary school-aged son's time of toddlerhood. It was good to laugh and reminisce but also made me stop and appreciate the struggles I face now. I remember thinking nothing could be worse than a cranky, independent toddler... fast forward to a mouthy, opinionated 9-year-old and I feel the same way. This book was a wonderful reminder to stop and cherish each stop along our children's journeys even when they make us question every decision we've ever made. Thank you for giving us a chuckle, Whitney!
