About this listen

Have you ever wondered about how some people seem to be so commanding and charismatic with their presence? Have you ever wondered where the power to influence other people comes from? Have you felt invisible and ineffectual in your life, as if people, in general, or, perhaps, even those closest to you, do not care about your opinions? Has this been the case, even though you are quite often the person who wants the best for everyone around you?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, this audiobook is for you!

Inside, you will find all the information you need to become a more persuasive, charismatic, and likable person. What's more, you will find advice on how to use that information to change things for the better!

So often, books about learning to be more persuasive assume that everyone wants to dominate and control their worlds. They assume, so much of the time, that people are cynical, cruel, and just looking for power so that they can start stepping on people.

That is not the case with this audiobook! Quite the contrary, this book will give you a road map to ensure that you are not only capable of defending yourself against bullies, con men, and cruelty but that you are capable of making other people's lives better, too.

In this audiobook, you will find:

  • The secrets to navigating any and all social situations with charisma and swagger
  • Ways how you can embody that perfect mix of friendliness, care, and assertiveness
  • Ways how you can talk sense into your friends and loved ones when they aren't acting right
  • Psychological facts about the secret rules that govern our every decision
  • Exercises that you can follow along with at home for added practice
  • The deep and unexpected ability for persuasion to save the world, one person to person engagement at a time

This book is an academic dissertation that talks only in concepts with no examples to bring it to life or make it memorable. For a book who teaches you to “capture and keep attention”, it does an abysmal job.

Unpersuasive book about persuation

This book had promise but it never gets to teaching you anything. I spends most of its time rehashing the ethical use of Persuasion vs. unethical but never teaches you about ethical persuasion. Lots of words. Lots of stories. Little substance.

Rambles without ever teaching anything

Great book, wish I would have read not listened. Nails on a chalkboard to listen. Needs a new narrator desperately.

READ DONT LISTEN

so repetitive, the narrator voice doesn't help the book. I heard "he or she", "he or her" so many times that I got sick. if there was any points to learn in each chapter, I lost track of them because all chapters were so repetitive. I wonder if this was a summary, if it was I still dislike 👎

is this a summary and I didn't know?

A lot of words with not much value.
Don’t waste your time reading. Very Disappointed

Blah Blah Blah

The writer has valuable information but falls short on delivering a compact message. Overstimulates the listener using excessive similes on a unexplained premise, and almost gives the impression that the intention is to fulfill a books or high school essays word count more than it is to instill practical information.

Far too manny words with little value

Bought by mistake but still listened to it. Not worth it. Try other books on persuation instead

Not worth it.

I listened to the whole thing. Hoping to eventually get to some substance. I ended up with a only a few obvious reminders and cliches.

Sounds like AI generated platitudes

I could not understand the narrator. The staccato speech pattern grates on the nerves. No flow. Impossible to understand.

Couldn’t listen. Narrator impossible to understand.

The author is incredibly wordy and repetitive to the point of meaninglessness. Bad writing could be forgiven if there were useful insights, but the author fails to explain how to apply the any of the concepts presented. When specific advice is given, (such as replacing others habits is the most effective form of persuasion), there is absolutely no explanation of how to do it.

The most words ever used to say absolutely nothing
