Outstanding!

This book was another wake-up call and a reminder of how important it is to maintain a healthy diet. Obesity, HBP, and high cholesterol run in my family, and I make it a high priority for me to not fall victim to this and be diagnosed with heart disease. I love how the author provides you with a step-by-step process and simple lifestyle changes to maintain a healthier happy lifestyle. The Sample Shopping List and Meal Plan portion in Chapter 3 is my favorite! It's always a PLUS to receive a free PDF with the purchase of an audiobook to go back and reference important keys while I'm on the go. Anyone who truly cares about healthy longevity should listen to this essential guide.

Great Book!

This book is much more than just another diet book! This is a lifestyle transformation manual with a personal story of an author that has been there and done it! Talk about motivation! Not only do you get into the details of how small changes can have big impacts...with noticeable results that you feel after a relatively short time, but you are taken on a journey to a healthier and happier lifestyle. I felt like anything was possible after listening to this book, and it felt like you were not being fed random information, but being guided toward real change with the author taking you by the hand and showing you the way! This is so easy!

What a great introduction to the whole food plant based lifestyle! My kids went vegan about a decade ago, and I couldn't understand why. Since then I've eaten at their homes literally hundreds of times, and the food is excellent. Still, I only recently decided to take the plunge myself.

This book makes it easy. Stefan tells the story of how his life suddenly changed, and how he learned about whole food eating. His personal story makes the book worth the effort, but there's so much more! Breath, exercise, food prep, and flavor add a lot to your life when you know what you're doing!

Packed full of Information !

This book skillfully leads us down the uncommonly known path of whole food plant based eating.
Light is amply shed on the vast array of Whole Foods including fruits, veggies, legumes & rice, along with their many health restoring benefits. Some of these benefits include reducing the risk of heart attack, reducing risk of diabetes type II, strengthening the immune system & reversing high cholesterol.
Author also advocates stress-reducing healthy lifestyle habits such as exercise, yoga, box breathing & meditation. Reader will be happy to find a list of resources for plant based recipes & cooking. Lastly, I was fascinated to learn that plant based diet can lengthen telomeres by 10%.
I recommend this book as an informative & empowering guide for anyone seeking to embark on the journey of Whole Foods plant based eating.

Fantastic Find!!!

I was able to understand the importance of little lifestyle changes and how they can affect my general health thanks to this audiobook. It was jam-packed with wise advice and first-hand stories. My skepticism about altering my behaviors was allayed by the Whole Foods Plant-Based (WFPB) diet's myth-busting element. The techniques for reducing stress and the breathing exercises were really educational. I was both compelled and encouraged to reevaluate my own actions in order to lead a healthy lifestyle.

The book is an excellent resource for anyone who aspires to eat a plant based diet. He uses the abbreviation PBWF throughout the book. It stands for Plant Based Whole Food. This book is content rich. What I mean by that is there are so many things covered in it. Not only the benefits of a PBWF diet, but also meditation, breathing, exercise, information on different plant foods, and more.
It makes a great reference and that is why I said to be sure to download the pdf that comes with the purchase of the book.
Audio is excellent, the narrator is very clear and crisp and goes at an adequate speed. (So many goo too slow, imho)
It would be helpful to have a few more weeks of menus (he included 1 week in chapter 4) and some recipes. Recipes in an audio book might be difficult to follow, I believe.
Good guide for those of us who are starting to eat a more plant based diet.

Highly Informative!

I've been thinking of adopting a plant based diet to combat the ravages of aging. Not that I've abused myself, but I want to live well for a long, long time! With that in mind, I bought this book to help guide me as a starting place. This book did NOT disappoint! I will be incorporating these 5 habits starting tomorrow... Don't miss out on this read

This book has an easy to understand approach to eating a plant based diet, it also offers a more wholistic approach to health than just what you eat. I switched to plant based eating about a month before I read this book. This book was perfect timing to provided encouragement and further my knowledge of the benefits and how to's around a plant based diet. The author not only lays out how to approach this way of eating simply, but he also backs up his work with studies and examples. If you think it's too late to turn around your health and feel good again, you owe it to yourself to give this book a read.
