About this listen

Our words have the power to create profound healing or incredible suffering. Yet even with the best intentions, it is often difficult to express ourselves in ways that build harmony and trust. Speaking Peace presents a seminal four-part model you can use immediately to connect to the spirit of love and generosity within you and start contributing to the well-being of everyone you relate to.

For over 40 years, visionary author Marshall Rosenberg has used the process of nonviolent communication to help families, schools, businesses, and governments reach accord in seemingly impossible conflicts. Join this pioneering voice to learn:

  • How to use your natural empathy to defuse stressful situations and safely confront anger, fear, and other emotions
  • Proven skills for overcoming dehumanizing communication patterns that block compassion
  • How to see through the eyes of others to foster understanding
  • And more

Marshall Rosenberg teaches that when you convey what is alive in you, your true feelings, and the values and desires behind them, you establish honest, nurturing relationships that eventually fulfill everyone's needs. With Speaking Peace, learn how to align your speech with your heart's purest depths.

WoW - break a mold that you may not know existed

I am able to find little nuggets here and there to help me think more clearly in most books and stories, this book has many nuggets that are potentially game changing for you. Don't take my word for it.

Humour and love

I have Marshall Rosenberg’s book Nonviolent Communication and while some of the examples he uses are repeated here, I really enjoyed hearing him speak. He had. an amazing combination of gentleness and yet rigorous intellectual discipline. Hearing him speak made his ideas come alive for me.

Hope Inspiring

In his own gentle voice, accompanied by his own guitar playing, and singing, this audio is a delightful and intimate overview of the depth and wisdom of the nonviolent communication principles. I would listen to it again.

excellent companion to the books

Helped me to learn some excellent communication skills, very happy with this purchase. I learned skills that enable me to listen more effectively listen and speak more clearly. I feel that I've also been retrained on how to think and connect with myself. I have found it very helpful to apply these techniques in my marriage. Myself and my wife are better able to understand each other's needs thanks to applying these techniques and principles. we are not perfect but the benefit we have gained from what we do understand thus far has been tremendously helpful and I am grateful that his books exist.

A Must Read to Help Learn to Process Earth School

Learning how to communicate with others is the Key to survival. This book is a wonderful way to introduce you to a better way of thinking in order to speak to be heard. That is the biggest challenge for most with a brain injury fearing dementia, being able to convey your feelings in a manner to resolve whatever resistance or conflict that presents negative feelings that in turn create confusion and discord for everyone.

Thank you for putting it together like you did!

A short but wonderful primer to the more robust Non Violent Communication book. Not the same but additive and similar.
