About this listen

A haven for humanity. Factions forming and fracturing. The seeds of a new empire.

Drew and his team are racing to create a system-recognized "Habitat". To make this happen, they must conquer more nodes, deal with an antagonistic superior officer, and possibly worst of all: Their own fear.

Freeing the troll’s sacrificial captives was only the beginning. Now the remnants of humanity must find a safe place to call home. But Nat's Park isn't the safe haven he was promised it would be. Not only do internal politics threaten to rip the survivors apart, an unknown danger haunts the stadium.

Drew and his allies will struggle to survive in the changed world after the Advent as fate works to temper them.

Wasn't sure how the author was going to tie together the two concepts of fantasy like powers with the space element of the previous book.

However I was pleasantly surprised with the balance the author was able to achieve between these two vastly different concepts, both in idea and power level.

Also it's nice to see that the second book hasn't degraded the quality of the writing as in so many other lit RPG series.

Solid second book!

the only problem with this book series is the one they all share. losing the fantasy and going to full game mode. who has time to look around the world when there’s stats to be read. who has time for Riots

i love this series

Very good installment. Things are the same with human being thru this crisis but all in all, will still act as certain qay.

not bad

There are certainly several parts of the story that drag on and seem to take much longer than they should. It isn’t quite as good as the first book in the series. However, you do learn much more about “the system” and the characters, including a awesome new one that fills many plot holes. Again, excellent narration by Luke Daniels.

first one thing that makes me like these books is the magic system an how it works. another thing i liked about the 2nd book is it gets more of a syfy feel to it an more about the mc getting stronger an learning how the system works an some new suprices. 3 for performance is cause i can not stand the narrator doing female voices sounds nothing like a female sounds like some old man having problems going to the bathroom that makes it hard for me to image the women looking like a women.

great 2nd book

Loved the story and as always, Luke does a great job.

Pros; a great series just keeps getting better. I like the twist of the Cerefim.

Cons: Didn’t really like the voice of the marine SGT. just sounded a little off to me.

Luke and Xander: Great combination

This book series has been very good so far. But this book comes across, like the author is trying to stretch the story out. Even with that the overall story is still quite good. Now for the next book.

Good so far
