This is about respecting oneself and others

I have found these tips for improving charisma and emotional intelligence incredibly beneficial. Sometimes we feel like we're saying the right words, but the other person doesn't understand the message you're portraying? Despite our own abilities this can help you become more self-aware about our messages and present yourself with greater confidence. I've seen a notable improvement in my interactions as a result! We need to be aware of our thoughts and how they cause reactions. We don't want to end up in a winner or loser mentality, there is a win for everyone. We need to resolve any issues at hand without causing more loss of time or increasing the tension. These books provide practical guidance on managing tough conversations and dissect both verbal and non-verbal communication, making it accessible and applicable.

Powerful Double Header

Each of these books is a powerhouse on its own but having both is a game-changer. I suffer from being a people pleaser and favor passive communication. I need these books to get myself out of my head and now I get to practice new strategies at work that make me wonder what I was so afraid of.

Critical communication skills for the workplace

I wish I had sage advice regarding workplace communication at the start of my career. The author discusses various topics on conflict resolution, emotional intelligence, accountability vs. responsibility, and much more that are vital in today's growing workforce. His examples highlight the typical experience of many workers of all ages and delve into the actual root causes of workplace dissatisfaction, lack of motivation, general resentment, and petty competition that so many toxic workplaces embody and how to navigate them.
Apart from the great advice offered, the audio is clear, and the narrator is well-spoken. I highly recommend this combo if you're struggling with typical workplace communication issues that often damper our spirits and our productivity outcome.

More Confident in My Communication Skills

This book is a great tool to deal with disturbing workplace situations and learn how to hold oneself (and others) accountable by having difficult conversations, and get issues sorted quickly. The tools in this book are really easy to use, are pragmatic and actionable, from asking to explain to asking for feedback, all the while improving performance and team dynamics, and becoming more successful. Since listening to this book, I now look at work situations and my coworkers differently and know how to address more assertively challenges or tough situations with colleagues. It’s a must-listen for anyone who feels overwhelmed and doesn’t know how to handle interpersonal and inter-team conflicts and improve workplace dynamics for increased success. Recommend!
