About this listen

Turns out jail really puts a damper on your plans.

Clyde Hatchett's latest adventure finds him wrongfully imprisoned, accused of striking the princess herself. With a death sentence hanging over him and time running out, Clyde's only hope lies in completing a series of impossible quests.

Because in Glaton, being innocent isn't enough to save your neck-especially when you owe people favors.

Clyde's objectives: retrieve crucial documents to prove an ally's nobility, sabotage a wedding to gain favor with a powerful truth-sayer, and dismantle a dangerous cult with dark ambitions for the Empire. All while at least appearing to be the model prisoner.

As the election for Emperor draws near, Clyde discovers that the line between friend and foe is as thin as the blanket on his prison bed. Can he pull off a daring plan to expose the princess's true nature and save the Empire from ruin?

2 Lies, 2 Thrones is an epic tale of intrigue, betrayal, and a fight for justice, perfect for fans of high-stakes fantasy adventures.

Great book. The sequence of releases is very thought out. We all love Montana but too many of his "I refuse to learn anything" antics in a row can be frustrating.

We all love Clyde because he thinks through a thing or two before going all Harry Dresden in the woodlands.

This installment, as with the one before it, allows us to see and experience a familiar world from an entirely different lens. It is a joy.

If you are reading/listening to this series, just go ahead and start this one. Nothing to debate.

I know it is expected to be said of all LitRPG, but this series (and particularly this book) genuinely feels like a journal of a character in an RPG who is neither suffering from metagaming nor part of an unsplittable party.

Chef's kiss to the author. Great job.

I love good guys and bad guys!! This had an awesome ending, but they are soooo short!

The best series!!

An awesome book as always. My biggest complaint is, Eric's writing is so good that I have to double check the length of the book. It always feels a lot shorter than it actually is. I'm excited for the next one!

Amazing

I like this and the good guy series. however the moral back and forth on certain things get annoying. also the saying a thought and the follow up thought contradicting it gets old. books are good to listen to in burst. not back to back

story ratchets up

This series was an unexpected great find after getting caught up on the Good Guys series, which I am sad now to have to wait for the next book to come out. The tie ins to the main story was excellent as I love learning the lore of the worlds I have come to explore with the story.

Amazing addition to the Good Guys universe

I am thouroughly impressed by the effectiveness of the world building and the ammount of things that were laid into the story early on, many books ago, or within the companion series, that are still being circled back around to.
I wish there were more books in the series already, and they were all longer.

wow this series just continues to amaze me

This is another great installment in the series. The banter between the characters is always entertaining. This story sees Clyde maturing in his decisions but also stays true to his character. He realizes he can’t act irrationally because he now has a family he wants to protect.
Spoiler: I have been waiting for this ending ever since this series started. The near misses of the two in the past books have been driving me crazy. I was also upset that Shay was killed like that but glad to find out that was not the case. I thought the new female character was introduced to replace her. Well played.
