About this listen

Divided survivors cast away far from civilization. A mad necromancer eager to expand his army. The lost underground city ready to invade the world.

Jim and his friends are heroes, having closed the gate opened by a dark mana demon. As battered as they are, their work is nowhere near complete. It isn't just humans that can go insane, and saving the world doesn’t mean there aren’t other plots afoot that could destroy the Empire.

Now shipwrecked and with no knowledge of his location, Jim has to find a way to stop a threat even he had never seen before. An infection is spreading, something beyond anything even the gods warned him of, and the team must find a way to cut it out before it spreads. If they fail, the dead will assimilate everything in their path.

There’s no way the heroes can risk holding back.

People say that there’s no world building in this book, when really it’s subtle to everything in the world small pieces here and there that point to both dark and light things at play

The plot would benefit from more world building and side missions. Very top quality in the genre so my only comment is ADD more world. Flesh out the people's places cultures. there is a hint of uncovering ancient ruins and the story stays tight but overall the series needs to run maybe 15hrs per book. anything less than 10hrs I usually ignore. glad I tried this one.

Runs short.. still worth it. top quality.

Liked the book and enjoyed the narrator. I HATE being forced to write a review.

Another great step in a large tapestry. Fantastic narration leads you step by step. Will have to wait for more.

The narration was amazing as always. but this one seemed off

For something like 85% of the book they go back and forth saving/ checking on the same group of people that don't want to be saved or checked on, fighting roughly the same enemy multiple times along with multiple stops for oddly descriptive meals which isn't a bad thing but all together came across as filler to me only to head straight for the necromancer in the last 15% and finish up the book was unsatisfying.

I don't want to be overly critical of the author because I do love his work I guess I just expected more than a filler book after the long wait.

still can't wait for the next one

A little disappointed
