Publisher's summary

Book 2 of the next great Fantasy LitRPG Series by Seth Ring, author of Nova Terra. Get your copy today and explore a world whose secrets have been buried under decades of war.

About the Series: Mixing slice-of-life with epic fantasy action, mystery, magic, cultivation, and a broken game system that seems determined to make everything as hard as possible for the already overpowered protagonist, this LitRPG/GameLit series is perfect for those who enjoy exploring rich worlds and complex characters.

Great OP MC

Now this is how you write an op character. Give them stakes that even their power can't solve, while limiting the use of their power by those same stakes.

But the author doesn't only mange to do that, the author also manges to still allow the main character to grow in both mind and power without making it stupidity unnecessary.

The characters are good and feel like real preple as well. Love every single one of the main cast and support characters.

My only real complaint are the enemies. They feel one dimensional. I can tell that the enemies aren't the focus of the book, but I did feel them a little lacking. The first book did the enemies a bit better. Especially the Wolf King, though he's not an enemy anymore. However this doesn't take away from my enjoyment of the book. I only thought about that in retrospect, and wanted to mention it. But with the way this book went, things may start to change.

Lastly a complaint that may not be a complaint is that the story ended way to fast. I want more.

Great development of powers and story

Book two in battle mage farmer picks up with everything I loved about the first edition. The hero is a silent OP hero with rising stakes forcing him to reveal and grow, along with his friends and farm animals. It’s a great idea with even better execution in writing and the narration. Cheers and on to the next gladly!

full marks

redacted for Amazon that was good!! I have seen this being recommended to me for quite some time now and finally got to a point where I decided to give the farmer Mage story a shot. the first book had me thinking of a character reminiscent of John Wick or Taken. it was a pretty interesting story but I wasn't sure whether or not I'd be continuing on to the sequel. I am so glad I did. we see towards the ending of this book our main character exploring the second Mage Tower with company. it's fairly emotional towards the end. the reveal was pretty cool. the last chapter handset what might be coming down the line in future books. so to say at this point I'm hooked would be an understatement. the narrator did a fantastic job with his performance. he is definitely on my list of top 10 favorite narrators. lastly I'm simply going to say Well done to everybody who had a hand in bringing the story to us, the audiobook listeners.

Don't let the childish title Fool you

I was Hesitant to read these books even though I had heard good things about them because of the dumb title. I think nearly everybody that read these will like them.

Faster pace, slightly disjointed

The second book starts off much quicker, and moves along at a steady clip. However because of this there are some transitions some might find a little jarring. Really looking forward to where this series goes and will binge the next.

Doom points ruin story

Doom points seem interesting, but unnecessary in the first book. Now, they just hamper the story. They don't add to it, and they don't follow a set rule. Moments that should have reduced Doom points are ignored. Barely uses his mana and instant doom point. I assumed it had something to do with his humanity, if he got to 100 he would be the apocalypse since no one else triggers such effect. "OP" MC is nerfed way too hard for a fantasy setting.

soo Fun and good

the person who narrates this book I think also does Stormlight Archive. I love his voice. as far as Plot its honestly refreshing. You have an all powerful person who is slowly realizing the drama he endured to become that person. it has the feel of epic fantasy with deep characters and magical creatures but the vibe of a itsekai Light novel.
Elli continues to be a strong character. if you enjoyed the House Witch, or like Brandon Sanderson Stormlight Archive but want a book about farming, this is perfect.
