About this listen

Book 2 of the next great Fantasy LitRPG Series by Seth Ring, author of Nova Terra. Get your copy today and explore a world whose secrets have been buried under decades of war.

About the Series: Mixing slice-of-life with epic fantasy action, mystery, magic, cultivation, and a broken game system that seems determined to make everything as hard as possible for the already overpowered protagonist, this LitRPG/GameLit series is perfect for those who enjoy exploring rich worlds and complex characters.

Now this is how you write an op character. Give them stakes that even their power can't solve, while limiting the use of their power by those same stakes.

But the author doesn't only mange to do that, the author also manges to still allow the main character to grow in both mind and power without making it stupidity unnecessary.

The characters are good and feel like real preple as well. Love every single one of the main cast and support characters.

My only real complaint are the enemies. They feel one dimensional. I can tell that the enemies aren't the focus of the book, but I did feel them a little lacking. The first book did the enemies a bit better. Especially the Wolf King, though he's not an enemy anymore. However this doesn't take away from my enjoyment of the book. I only thought about that in retrospect, and wanted to mention it. But with the way this book went, things may start to change.

Lastly a complaint that may not be a complaint is that the story ended way to fast. I want more.

Great OP MC

Book two in battle mage farmer picks up with everything I loved about the first edition. The hero is a silent OP hero with rising stakes forcing him to reveal and grow, along with his friends and farm animals. It’s a great idea with even better execution in writing and the narration. Cheers and on to the next gladly!

Great development of powers and story

redacted for Amazon that was good!! I have seen this being recommended to me for quite some time now and finally got to a point where I decided to give the farmer Mage story a shot. the first book had me thinking of a character reminiscent of John Wick or Taken. it was a pretty interesting story but I wasn't sure whether or not I'd be continuing on to the sequel. I am so glad I did. we see towards the ending of this book our main character exploring the second Mage Tower with company. it's fairly emotional towards the end. the reveal was pretty cool. the last chapter handset what might be coming down the line in future books. so to say at this point I'm hooked would be an understatement. the narrator did a fantastic job with his performance. he is definitely on my list of top 10 favorite narrators. lastly I'm simply going to say Well done to everybody who had a hand in bringing the story to us, the audiobook listeners.

I enjoyed the casual demeanor in almost every environment, while slowly opening up by only a sliver at first, he then precedes to change little by little, it was an amazing experience to read

I was Hesitant to read these books even though I had heard good things about them because of the dumb title. I think nearly everybody that read these will like them.

Don't let the childish title Fool you

Mostly a story of a war-weary man searching to save the world while wishing he could just farm wheat. This book is a long quest with multiple unique monsters and of course beasts that evolve and grow sentient. Chicken egg who knows. Entertaining listen.

Strong characters played well
