About this listen

Silas is growing into the responsibilities weighing him down.

Earth is struggling, but there is hope. The deals that Silas has made have brought resources and trainers to Earth. He's helped some leaders gain an understanding of what they will face.

His team has continued to grow but now he finds himself facing the greatest challenge to any Forerunner, the Wild Hunt. He'll be hunted but also have to hunt other Forerunners while forging a shaky alliance with those he can't trust.

Even more disturbing, it seems like there might be more than one system to choose from. Or is that just a temptation? When his back is to the wall, will he choose the devil he knows or the one he has yet to learn about?

Resist the apocalypse. Resist the system. Resist the traitors.

The hunt is on, and we shift into the next

The hunt is on and we get ready to shift into the next phase as it starts to come to Earth. This is a good solid book. It's something that allows us to go into the next phase. Wow, concentrating odd this book. But at the same time, giving his hints of what could happen in the next book, we get some new allies. Definitely a lot of Foreshadowing of enemies n conflicts to come and the mistake will fall friends. That will fall any questions about who will rise to meet the next challenge

Really enjoyed this one!

This has rapidly become one of my favorite concurrent series! I'll get the one annoying thing out of the way and it's the stat sheet. I know it was stated in the previous book or 2 it's fine to skip them but in this book in particular the author would explain these amazing stat boosts and how many stat point Silas is at and follow it up directly aafter 20 minutes of stats with a chapter of the stats themselves (obviously the 20 minutes is an over exaggeration but it's getting close) also when did inventory (class shards etc.) become apart of stats?
With that out of the way the hunt went a lot different than I expected in such a good way! Many twists and turns what I really enjoyed with the hunt as well was the interludes. They didn't feel out of place or like they were dragging on too long, just enough of a break and keeping you up to date with the other worlds! Fantastic book I cannot wait for the next one!

On its Way Down

As what happens to so many series when their books multiply seemingly with the main purpose being the sale of more books, this series seems to be decreasing in quality as the number of words increases. It almost seems to be an inverse proportion.

I had really looked forward to this iteration of the “Welcome to the Multiverse” series. Sadly, the quality of the storytelling is on a definite downward slope. Because this book is still better than average I’ll buy “Contention” the next book in the series - but I hope that this book’s slippage is an aberration. Otherwise the next will be my last.

Great progression. Can’t wait till next book. EARTH BATTLE

All litrpg has a lot of stats. Surprised by some of the reviews. They should know better.
Anyway. Loved it. So excited to listen to the battle of earth. Keep em coming!!

Just like how the story has potential grow

lol like how he references crystal wash from "He Who Fights With Monsters". The story to me is entertaining and I wish I didn't have to wait until next year for the next book to release. :)

Good plot/stupid MC

A good plot, excellent narrator (probably why I managed to supress my problem with MC..)

1 Basically in team battle he looks in "awe" before maybe doing one attack to killsteal. Maybe if author wrote in third person or used WHILE THEY did x, I did y he maybe come off as more than a commentary.

2 To keep the debuff dagger with extra damage while 39 in skill when you are friends with a rogue...(he has used it 3 times)

3 In one battle he chose not to heal his party because "he wouldn't always be around" ?!? (But you were there and your role was to heal!)

4 if I continue I probably will stop listening to it. Maybe first series I hope will stop after next book, but I doubt it.

Also regarding most litrpg. Why 10k in stats after a few months. Imo just making it seems even more OP than usual. Also, resurrection? Game or real world... Tsk.

I will continue the series. mostly because of Travis. But it is my least favorite of my LitRpg series which is:

1 Primal Hunter/Defiance of the fall (
2 DCC and Chrysalis (Antventure)

probably not feasible to rank them. They are spilt up because latter 2 is so funny aswell! I hate that the audiobooks on several of them don't have a release date.

But probably first MC I dislike since He who fight monsters, which I really disliked enough to not continue the series and probably made me biased towards Aussie series, especially if they talk about "a Barbe" (barbecue). Wow, roasting meat is something new in a fantasy world... WTF!

Still pretty great

A few things:
I enjoyed the pacing, though it got a bit chaotic at times.
The power scaling is kind of all over the place, which makes the end-result of some conflicts quite confusing.
And, finally, I’m glad that I only have to wait a few more months before the next book comes out.

Enjoyable

The progression was well paced. Overall story is getting fleshed out well. Character development is on going. Great listen. And now we wait for February. Only complaint. Was a tad short especially with 10 minute long stat sheet reads.
