About this listen

The first wing of the Red Cathedral has been conquered, and the next phase of the Possibility King’s invasion is officially on.

Strange towers have arrived all across EBO, bringing with them fragments of new and dangerous realities. Some will threaten the Onyx Delta, others will offer new opportunities, and one tower in particular will awaken something in Frank that really should have remained dormant.

And in the midst of so much change, the Thousand Tower Tournament rapidly approaches, presenting a host of challenges that will pit Ned and Omen against not mobs, but other players, including a formidable new enemy whose cunning and ruthlessness may very well put an end to the guild’s quest for the World Branch Throne.

There will be more blood this time, too...again. More cats as well.

LitRPG means Literary Role Playing Game. Simply put, it’s the book version of watching someone play a video game, usually one that’s set up like an MMO (massively multiplayer online) RPG. It’s a blend of sci-fi and fantasy, depending on how it comes to be that our main character ends up living inside a virtual reality. the point of LitRPG is not how we get there, but that we get to be in this virtual reality period, living life as a badass video-game character. Always so much fun

No other story has ever made me laugh out loud so many times, and this one is no different. The “first time” conversation alone is well worth listening to this book. Only problem is, now I have to be depressed until the next book comes out. Worth it.

Fun listen

I enjoyed listening to this, and I appreciated that Kyle Kirrin gave his main character real challenges. The MC was not too overpowered like many game lit books.

Get FRANKED

I love the fact that these books don’t have too many stat intervals. And I love the Frank bonus story.

Best one yet

How does he keep these battles so exciting and engaging. Frank is the best supporting character ever and the epilogue with him is crazy awesome.

Excellent book and Amazing Narrator

Franks was doing Frank things. There was a very cathartic fight later in the novel. Look forward to this one. If you already like the series, this is a slam dunk!

I would just be complaining about awesome things.

I thought Ned was over petty in the bonus story, but Shattersoul is quite good. Ned is a bit op at the end and I think we could spread the good ideas out a bit and not be quite so Ned centric. the great thing about this series is the dialog. that continues to be very very good.
