About this listen

Hal and his Beast have been sundered in two.

Done with sacrifices, Hal seeks greater monster powers and delves into the ancient magic of his world. With his wounds healing, his strength grows tremendously, opening up a new evolution of bonecrafting.

To reforge his eldritch body, Besal, Hal's Beast, ventures into the depths of the Fathomway dungeons, chasing after the source of the land's corruption.

The impending wrath of the Shiverglades' tribes looms over Brightsong. Though they fight on distant battlefields, Hal and Besal must work together for a chance to save their settlement from fated destruction.

The way that the author speaks sometimes as if a listeners opinion matters to the characters in the story

I think it’s just an overall great story. Thus far and I’ve listened to a lot of them my favorite lit RPG saga.

very enjoyable. I am excited for the next one. I always enjoy hearing how everyone powers up, and the the characters personalities are enjoyable.

Proof read for continuity please.

I'm only at chapter 54 but already there have been minor but galling mishaps in story events. i.e. referring to the charismatic paladin as 36 when he was 37. small stuff like that but enough to hiccup the immersion. also, sometimes when referring to Val, (you know who) the author wrote "he" like he was referring to Dale instead.

(no idc about gender politicking but I had to go back a few times to know who was talking to who. annoying)

Definitely proof read before publishing please. I've noticed this trend in the first few books too after a relisten.

As for actual story review? its... okay? kinda slow yet skips some stuff that could really be used to flesh out other characters like the dungeon diving. it was mostly skipped.

most of what I've read so far has been from Hals perspective so I don't see what the fuss about spending too much time behind the eyes of another character is about. sure there's tid bits but not 85% of the book.

Now I’m getting frustrated

I like the stories for the most part, but I’m really starting to get pissed off. Why is Hal so held bent against adding any points to his strength? Does he want to be a weakling his entire life and just depend on magic anybody in real life shoved in that kind of situation would want to be as strong as possible he already has seen that magic won’t always helpand if you’re strong as hell, you can always muscle your way out of a problem, but he absolutely refuses to add any more points to his strength and it pisses me off. AAHHHH!!! I’m so frustrated. Why won’t the author have? Hal put some damn points in strength??? He’s gonna have all his stats in three digits and four digits and leave his strength at 15. It’s ridiculous.

Another clueless Arthur book

The reason I say this is because there seems to be a trend here lately with authors and their books in a series. For some reason, the authors seem to think that we are more interested in the side characters than the main character. This new trend with authors blows my mind. Unfortunately, this is one of those books less than half. The book is about the main character and I can’t wait until this new trend ends.

very introspective

the story feel like it's always going from one introspective thought to the next and we don't really get a feel action or danger or struggle. the main character just come up with a way to deal with everything . I would like more battles or him simply walking Thu the town he made . the money he has never gets used so he just has money for no reason. he seems to fall in to explaining his past books to remind the read of his past deeds to often. te character is so strong now that every fight ether a huge struggle or easy fight . there no fly by the pants mommets. most interactions are some up to hey trust me or I can't trust you but I will this time. I feel like the writer would benefit from read godric and Felix books for how character should talk to each other . all in all I like it
