Where have I been hiding...under a vegan cheesebur

Excellent resource for switching to an animal loving, environmentally friendly way of eating plant-based. I highly recommend it. Way past time to go VEGAN.

All you need to know about going vegan in a story

If you are worried about your health, have trouble losing weight, or struggle giving up meat, get this book!

The book carries an honest and passionate message wrapped in the story of a 53-year old man.
Peter, like many men and women his age, encounters health problems, including serious heart condition that requires surgery. He believes heart diseases run in the family and there is nothing he can do about it.
He is in about to discover that this isn’t really the truth, that there is a way to get a healthy heart without surgery and pills. Peter meets someone who, like him, have had problems with the heart but is now healthy and runs marathons.

The author takes us on a journey where we get to witness the transformation Peter goes through - both physical and mental transformation. He is about to discover a new way better way of life.

This book is for you if:
- you have health problems like diabetes heart disease high blood pressure high cholesterol, etc.
- you have put on lots of weight and struggle losing it;
- you are not in shape, can’t lift considered not-too-heavy items;
- you have trouble climbing stairs and being out of breath;
- you struggle giving up meat;
- you desire better health and longer life for you and tour family;

The book addresses negative beliefs, pokes stereotypes and debunks myths, all while telling the story of Peter who is turning into his healthiest self.

My favorite takeaway from the book “It’s one thing to have the information [...] but it’s another thing to put the knowledge into practice.”

This is an excellent book

This is an excellent book. It gives an overall description of the diet and what it can do. It starts with explaining, giving hints for success, shopping lists, recipes, and sample meals. Very easy to follow. I started the diet for two weeks and lost weight. My doctors were finally pleased with my progress.

Eating well for good heart health.

Most dietary theories fail when subjected to a rigorous scientific evaluation and fail also in practice in the long run. However, Alan makes a very convincing case for a diet of plant based whole food after the main character in the book falls ill with heart disease.

Motivation to make much-needed health changes

Originally, I was looking for a book about nutrition. While I knew the basics, I wanted to eat better, and I thought having more information on nutrition would help. I also thought it had a high probability of being painfully boring.

A starting point for vegan diet beginners

A MUST Listen! Not only this audiobook is eye opening, it is told in the most fascinating way. It changed everything I knew about health, even though I've been long into reading and learning about it. This book tells a fictional story of what we have missed as humanity and details specifically the latest research of science in nutrition and how to live a longer healthier life. I love the characters, each with their own story. It's a 10/10 to Alan Twigg and his motivating story.
