Publisher's summary

“As the Knight of The Last Horizon, I challenge you.”

The Last Horizon has already sown new legends across the galaxy, tales of monsters defeated and worlds saved. For better and for worse, their reputation is spreading.

Their enemies have taken notice.

On Karosha, the Perfected gather fleets crewed by inhumanly flawless soldiers. In the Galactic Union, the secretive organization known as Solstice pulls strings in the shadows. And in the depths of Dark Space, after years of silence, the ravenous D’Niss begin to stir.

Raion Raithe, Knight of The Last Horizon, sees these threats as a chance to redeem himself. He will stand against the danger, and he will stand strong, no matter what it costs.

His friends are counting on him.

The Knight is Book Three in a planned six-book series.

had higher expectations

I started these books while I was waiting for the final Cradle book to rekease. This story was alright but the first two were better. I might be over this author now and that kinda breaks my heart.

Thrilling as it is entertaining

Will Wight treats his listeners with another compelling episode in the Last Horizon series. As to be expected, there are multiple battles where the Knight is compelled to engage in, with a few where he comes to a razor edge to ending him. Of course the others in the team also play critical roles in defeating their enemies, most powerful of them being the Lost Horizon Captain, Archmage Varic Vallenar.

There is a bit of a reveal near the end of the book that suggests at Varic's unexpected experiences of 1000s of alternate lifetimes.

Travis Baldree's performance is spot-on and absolutely masterful at going from dramatic passage one moment and slinging hilarious repartee the next.

Another one, he does it again.

If you haven’t decided to jump on the Gnome bandwagon by now I won’t be able to convince you. This series is just getting better and better. Not sure it’s up to Cradle just yet but it’s certainly carving out a name for itself. Great work. Absolutely can’t wait for the next one.

Friendship!

Great as always. Audible makes you leave reviews with words now. You can’t just leave stars. Dumb.

I expected My Little Pony in space, not what I got

I was pleasantly surprised by this installment. Turned out better than expected. Good writing, plots moving forward, the crew is becoming more cohesive, and I’m enjoying seeing it all come together. So far, I think this is the strongest entry in the Last Horizon series.

Another Great

Fun - Great Pacing, Solid Character Development, Engaging Story and Fantastic Voice Acting - everything I could want in an audio book. I'll be on the lookout to pre-order the next entry as soon as its avaliable. Enjoy!

LEMON!!!!

The story fell chaotic and unfocused until near the end as Will begins the process of focusing the series down into its major plot points. we get To see the return of one of the Greatest side characters, Lemon, and are thoroughly disappointed when she doesn't get the Zenith Cannon.

Solid work but...

... maybe a few too many flashbacks. I found them a bit jarring. Just sayin'.
