About this listen

“As the Knight of The Last Horizon, I challenge you.”

The Last Horizon has already sown new legends across the galaxy, tales of monsters defeated and worlds saved. For better and for worse, their reputation is spreading.

Their enemies have taken notice.

On Karosha, the Perfected gather fleets crewed by inhumanly flawless soldiers. In the Galactic Union, the secretive organization known as Solstice pulls strings in the shadows. And in the depths of Dark Space, after years of silence, the ravenous D’Niss begin to stir.

Raion Raithe, Knight of The Last Horizon, sees these threats as a chance to redeem himself. He will stand against the danger, and he will stand strong, no matter what it costs.

His friends are counting on him.

The Knight is Book Three in a planned six-book series.

I’m really starting to love these

They’ve always been interesting, new-ish concept, fun, witty—narrator has great inflection and character voices that makes for engaged listening. (Seriously he’s a master. Once you’ve been introduced to someone and heard a couple exchanges you never have to be told who’s speaking again.). I think he is the only one that could bring this story fully to life. With a different narrator this would be a very different review
It’s taken a couple of books to get to know everyone and, well, appreciate them. I used to find omega unbearably annoying but he’s grown on me now that he seems part of the team. Raion used to be a bit over the top but now I find his goodness and enthusiasm heart-warming . Like the thing about him bowing to all the champion statues in the great hall and talking to the curator.
Shyrax? Queen w the hair cables? I appreciate her unerring queenly stateliness and command of… everything.
I fined myself thinking “oh, that’s SO “”him” (or her.)
Having them all work together? Act like friends? They are my new Avengers

I think I just realized that the authors writing style just translates well to a book tape. It seems very smooth, there aren’t unnecessary “he said” and x person said, etc etc. no lengthy descriptions that can lose a listener. It’s more like listening to a movie. I am, in fact, visualizing the whole thing playing in my head. It’s probably why I can’t seem to get anything else done w while listening.

Overall this book isn’t really different than the previous ones, except more seasoned and cohesive. I think you definitely have to listen to the first 2 prior to this or you won’t understand a lot of it and won’t appreciate the rest.

The bloopers are more like deleted scenes and really funny.

Space Chaos!

Big wonderful and extremely colorful adventure through the astoundingly interesting universe that Will has put together here. I love this series.

Great next chapter of the story!

After the Cradle series I struggled to find something to fill the empty space left when it ended. This is a different but equally satisfying story by the same author and narrator.

Power of Friendship

A great way to illustrate how trust in yourself and your friends can make all the difference. A great focus on The Knight while having lots for the other crew members to build their backstory!

More awesome story from Will

The fights get bigger and bigger whilst the crew become closer. Another awesome book, and a great continuation of the saga. Can’t wait for the next addition

Love the series

Wight has come into his own nicely with his various series, they all have a lot of nice comfortable tropes and familiar things but always tosses in a bunch of interesting and unique ideas. This series has so many little references to anime and older cartoons, I love it can't wait for more

bit fast paced

I've listened to a lot of wills works, and, as always, I enjoyed "Knight." However, i felt there were some mild pacing issues. the book is trying to foreshadow the last foe of the book, but it feels there are so many other sub-plots which take up a lot of the time that could have been spent on the main villain of the book. because of this, the ending felt a bit rushed and out of nowhere. with all that being said, if you enjoy Will's other works, you'll likely like "Knight"

Easily my favorite book in the series so far!

I binged, cried, cheered, and now I'm exhausted!
What an excellent, heart-filling ride l am so glad to have experienced! I still have tears in my eyes.
Omg, thank you, Will Wight, for this book!

Don't get me wrong, I like the first two books. The world, stories, and characters each had them all. But this book pulled me along. No, it was more like I was enjoying the ride. I felt I knew how the road would progress, and I just laid back and relaxed. Then, we took a turn. I wasn't sure where we were going, but nothing was out of place. The scenes were unexpected; there were so many hard turns, but I knew we were on the right path, just not the one I expected. Then, the story pulled me into the passenger seat, and I am now more involved with the story. I was there and involved, cheering and crying. The build kept climbing; I began to worry about my crew. Then the big swell came: action, daring chances, some comedy to lull me, and bam! The big finish. Now, I wait till the next stage unfolds, the next book to bring me back to a home I didn't even know existed.

So, is it worth the credit? Yes, yes, it is.
