Publisher's summary

Whether it be the hero of legends or the character in a game, few things are more defining than Class.

Except maybe Class isn't always static. Tank, DPS, healer, and more. They are all just different sides of fate's die.

Taken from life as an office drone by a trickster god, Tim finds himself in the magical world of Iocusinte, where change is his only constant. It grants him great potential, enough to be sought out by different factions looking to use him for their own ends.

That potential, however, is mercurial. His Class and very appearance shift at random.

If Tim is to survive long enough to enjoy this new world and the friends he's making, then he'll have to solve the riddle of his nature and learn to master the uncontrollable.

Experience the next LitRPG saga from Amazon Bestseller Sean Oswald. It’s perfect for fans of Dakota Krout, Luke Chmilenko, and Troy Osgood.

Overall a good book

Having said that the author could have polished the sentences a bit more. I enjoyed the struggles the main character had with his powers and because of such a clever story mechanic it kept me interested. It will probably do the same for you if you enjoy LitRPG character builds.

Fun

While not the best prose it is fun and engaging. MC is fine. World building is good and combat is fine. If you are into litrpg it's 3.5 or 4. if you aren't into litRPG there is little here for you.

An interesting tale

There is a good ebb and flow here, and plenty of things changed up often enough to be intertaining. Enjoying the plot, the creativity, and Tim's mouse. Looking forward to more.

underwhelming, but worth the credit

so the story itself is average, the MC is a gamer when he becomes an isekai who is somewhat relatable. many opportunities to make side characters enjoyable were missed as his default is to be cautious and trust nobody after all he never fits anywhere in a foreign land, go figure.

he does adapt rather well to battle but honestly for a gamer and familiar with concepts appears to be rather insufferable with loads of questions about everything.

fun story, but...

fun story, interesting twist on the isekai litRPG genre.
One thing that forever got on my nerves (SPOILER):

MC keeps saying he has no idea what his trait "Ephemeral" does and contin usually seems confused about it, but his character sheet (that he CAN see) straight up TELLS him what it does. Every time he looks at it he sees and reads its description.

the mouse voice

good book, the only issue I had was with the voice of mischievous. It sounded like Elmo if Elmo was way more annoying

Dominant male, brute force melee, overdramatic

The narration is weirdly over annunciated, lots of excessive consonants. I found it only tolerable at about 1.15 speed due to the long pauses followed by sharp consonants. aside from that, it was a good story. ... I'm not as much of a fan of berserker type main characters, but for those who like them, this story is great. ... I felt some of the "real man" references and fears of the risk that the changes might include gender switching to feel a bit biased towards non-inclusive politics, of this matters to you.
