Love it

This audible was so great! So many helpful tools. Unfortunately my cholesterol is high and i refuse to get on a statin so i am definitely going to incorporate these steps into my daily routine and then retest and see if my results are better! Thank you

Awesome book

In January, I had to have my appendix taken out and while doing the CT scan of my chest they found a small amount of plaque in my arteries. I got a stress test and a cholesterol test done in July. I passed the stress test with flying colors but I failed my cholesterol test. Overall my cholesterol was 206, triglycerides was 455, LDL was 94. Not good.
So my doctor gave me lipitor but I knew I needed to do something different. I completely changed how I worked out and I bought Cholesterol Down from audible. I listened, followed it to a T and retook my blood test and the results are freaking shocking ( too me ):

Cholesterol- July 205 Sept - 111

Triglycerides- July 455 Sept - 129

LDL- July - 94 Sept - 52

Your book helped turn my life around, I eat a boring diet but it came from your book and it works:

Breakfast - Steel Cut Oatmeal w banana and flaxseed

Snack - Quest bar / cantaloupe/ watermelon

Lunch - Bowl of kashi almond cereal with flaxseed with cashew milk.

Snack - Almonds and Quest bar

Dinner - Salmon or Chicken, green peas or beans

I also eat Greek yogurt twice a day.

On weekends, I eat guacamole and flaxseed blue corn chips.

If you need to lower your cholesterol, this book will help you.

It works, but it's A LOT of pills

This is a good book and it did actually help my cholesterol. Total 243 --> 218, Triglycerides 151 --> 98, LDL 161 --> 141. The downside of it is that if you follow the pill regiment it's about 23 PILLS PER DAY which is a crazy amount. I don't want to be on Lipitor and all of its potential side effects, but 1 pill vs 23 is a big difference. I followed the diet mostly, but it can also be a challenge eating that much of all those things.

Truly works to reduce cholesterol

This book has helped me tremendously in reducing my cholesterol. In the last six months my overall cholesterol has gone from 218 to 168 down 50 points. My LDL went from 136 to 107 which was an almost 30 point drop. My doctor was threatening putting me on medicine if I didn’t lower my cholesterol so I downloaded this book to take action about it. I cut out red meat such as hamburgers, steak, French fries and Oreo cookies as well and ate more fish and salads in my diet. I lost 15 pounds and found that if I daily ate oatmeal, flax seed, Metamucil, almonds, a red delicious apple, soy protein milk, garlic and walked the dog for 30 minutes that is what worked to lower my cholesterol. My advice would be stay consistent and committed to it and you will feel healthier and see the benefits pretty quickly.

I recommend this book

Straight forward and actually some of the steps in this book to follow for lowering cholesterol are steps that I take now. Some of the foods in this book I’m currently eating and my cholesterol lowered without medication. This was prior to listening to this book. I purchased out of curiosity, but overall a very good book.

very simple steps to follow

most of the book is the common sense way to reduce cholesterol. having somebody read those to you make your decision to follow the steps easier. very good book highly recommend
