Too much focus on food that's not food

The story is increasingly about food production, only they only make wheat which has very little nutrition and almost no essential proteins or fats (there are no essential carbs). Even better is that they've moved from fermented sourdough, which actually provides some nutrition to humans, to processed white flour noodles. I'm wondering if the next book is going to include the major malnutrition epidemics that struck most countries when they moved from sourdough and pushed most countries to mandate that vitamins and minerals be added into the flour (enriched flour). Once they do that they can raise corn and then instead of nixtamalization they can just use it as straight corn and then can have a pellagra outbreak to solve.

Outside of the food production the story is pretty good. Aside from lack of nutrition knowledge (not an issue if it weren't such a major point of the story), there have been a few instances where lack of economic understanding is injected by the author (like how they implement price controls and somehow don't realize that they make shortages far worse due to removing the feedback between supply and demand).

The points of him having a moral conviction are very odd, He'll have no issue with killing or fighting for a while, then when someone asks him to help stop a maniacal tyrant who is slaughtering his own people, he freaks out.

it's perfect

love Michael Kramer from his work on wheel of time and I love the litrpg genre. I also like scale of life with a wholesome and enduring romance. I read the other books else where but rated them each because these books are awesome and this is just another solid entry.

Powerful but can't use it

This one was good but a bit less exciting. John can finally use his powers.. for like a minute but now he can't again bc reasons.. doesn't matter that John is the strongest bc he's not allowed to use it which is annoying. Good book for the most part 4.3 out of 5

Choose a showing fire alive

The truth are showing that the fires are alive within him isn't his You'll find out who it is and we see more of the inner workings of the cult that he created and we get to see the start of a new phase in the farm it's a good story almost a 4.5 It's just that the fighting gets a little on balance at times and progress a little too long but it is a good story great Other things you can predict as being a trope but at the same time the way the story is constructed you don't really mind it in fact you're glad of it there is a balance there between story and fighting And the power of progression and we get to find out things like why is a young balance compared to others and how hes trying to fix the world and how that's progressing beyond his own farm

I have enjoyed all of this series.

The plot thickens. This was humorous and adventurous. I love Ferdy and Ben the best.

And the world gets worse

You thought John was having problems before before? You’ve seen nothing yet. I guess if you are the strongest you have to help everyone.
