About this listen

Well, it could be better.

Jim and his literal shoulder demon have survived, so far, by the skin of their teeth.

After finding a long-abandoned starter village, Jim has begun the process of rebuilding his town. Unfortunately for our favorite adventurer, the threats he now faces are far more complicated than mere monsters. The poor Noob has to deal with angry townsfolk, trade negotiations, and a talking badger.

With goblins and bandits also sniffing around, will Noobtown - I mean Windfall - survive?

Amazing installment

Absolutely loved it. Will be one of the books I continue to go back to over and over again! I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves D&D + LITRPG

Just felt like it was going nowhere

I read the first book and enjoyed it. This character seems to have nothing that I find likable.
And we got into politics and so many statistics on what Jim's abilities are that I just got bored. I got halfway through this book and I'm done with the series

Listend to both back to back

Just as good as the first and it again had great narration and character interaction. I still have the same minor issues as the last book. The MC doesn't really get angry in situations he should except for a few part's. I am not sure if I am just different than most but I think if I am getting stabbed, slashed, burnt or whatever happens in the battles I would start to get angry at some point. He does show mercy in a situation which I like. Overall I will listen/read whatever comes out next.

Noobtown, if you haven't, your missing out.

Just listen already. The narrator is great. The story is great. The characters are great. To hard to pick a favorite. You even end up liking Shart the insufferable little puss sack. Humorous. Just listen to the series. It's totally worth it.

Thoroughly enjoyed!

First off I want to say, I loved this book and the first book. I've already purchased book 3 and I'm on to that adventure with Jim right after this review.

For a first time published author (I've read that Ryan Rimmel is not an author by trade, just something he enjoys doing.) Ryan Rimmel absolutely crushed it right out of the park. Further, the choice of narrator was BRILLIANT. Bravo Mr. Johnathan McClain your comedic timing, delivery and mood of the context was BY FAR what helped to really sell Jim's story to me in a way I really think Mr. Remmel meant to write his MC's story and personality.

I can't recommend these books any higher, this is a DON'T MISS series. I've recommended these books to more that a few book reviewers on YouTube and various social media platforms in hopes that others will hear and pick it up to give it a read or listen.

In the times we live in all of us need more laugh outloud moments to remind us all that "Hey, you got this."

Love. This. Series.

This is yet another great book in the Noobtown series. The narrator is perfect, this is the only book series my son and I quote to each other like a movie. 😆

Also the story is great - lighthearted but still intelligent and interesting. I like the way the author weaves together plot and video game world metrics. You don’t see that balance in most of this genre’s books.

Refreshing and different.

I don't right many reviews mostly because I hate to write. But, when I come across a good series I have to share. It may not appeal to some people but these books about Jim, his familiar, and his companion have left me wanting more!! I can't wait until the next book comes out. If you have a weird sense of humor or if you ever played Dungeons and Dragons I think you would enjoy this book.

Jim dies on earth and winds up in another dimension as an individual that has to earn his life with experiences. He begins his adventures with his familiar which is actually a demon and gaines a companion, a honey badger. He also becomes the Mayor of an original town in the dimension. You are taken along all of his journies and hear how he advances in his life experience along the way. There are goblins, wolves, bandits, and pumas. You can't miss it.

Fantastic follow-up to the Mayor of Noobtown...

What a great follow-up to the first book. I love it when the second book in the series is just as mesmerizing as the first book.
Jim is up to more shenanigans. Discovering a random spell scroll on a dead goblin he learns his first spell, whereupon Jim can now cast fart spells at the enemy 😆. Jim also needs to set up a trade route which will bring in some much-needed funds for the village occupants. But first the route has to be cleared of monsters and bandits. And how could I forget Badgelor a honey badger, a pet companion that actually believes Jim is his pet... I seriously love this pig headed companion, that don't give no eff's!
